About project
In February 2025, more than 500 Ukrainians from different regions of Italy gathered in Bologna for a public demonstration against the spread of Russian propaganda.
Participants travelled from Rome, Viterbo, Piacenza, Milan, Turin, Marche, Ravenna, Verona, Modena and other parts of Italy.
The programme included speeches from Ukrainian and Italian participants, representatives of the Ukrainian community and public figures, as well as musical performances.
The participants expressed their support for Ukraine, called for the withdrawal of Russian forces from Ukrainian territory and highlighted the importance of resisting propaganda and disinformation in the European information space.
The gathering also demonstrated the ability of Ukrainian communities across Italy to coordinate public advocacy initiatives and bring Ukrainian issues to a wider Italian audience.
