Ukraine Is Ukraine — Ukrainian Culture Festival in Milan
A two-day festival in Milan presenting Ukraine’s historical and contemporary identity through lectures, cultural talks, music and international dialogue.
On 10–11 May 2026, Boristene organized the third edition of the Ukrainian culture festival “Ukraine Is Ukraine” in Milan.
The festival was created to present Ukraine’s historical and contemporary identity to an Italian audience and to strengthen cultural dialogue between Ukraine and Italy.
The first day focused on intellectual and cultural discussion, with five lectures and presentations. Speakers explored Ukrainian statehood, the role of Ukrainian women in history, Ukrainian ballet and cultural appropriation, the legacy of Sofia Yablonska, and Ukraine as a modern travel and cultural destination.
The second day featured a solo concert by Ukrainian composer and pianist Nik Sheiva.
The festival also became a platform for professional networking and the creation of new partnerships for future Ukrainian-Italian cultural initiatives.
